King Cephren

the commissioner of the largest pyramid at giza is sculptured here with the protector-god horus behind his head. the king sits with one hand in a fist of power, while the other hand lies flat in a gesture of solemnity towards the many gods. it is reported this invincible work was found stuck in a well.
